Hannover Messe 2014; German 4th industrial revolution offers great potential for Dutch industry

The Hannover Messe, the world's largest industrial fair has started yesterday, 6 April, with the Netherlands as 2014 partner country.

Chancellor Angela Merkel opened the fair in the presence of Prime Minister Rutte, which this year is dedicated to the theme " Fourth Industrial Revolution". The fair has 6,500 participants with last year more than 220 thousand visitors from over 90 countries. The Netherlands is represented by 270 companies and research institutions at the Messe.

The ING Economics Department has prepared a report in cooperation with FME-CWM, that addresses the opportunities that the German fourth industrial revolution offers for Dutch industry . On 10 April Arnold Koning, ING Sector Management General Industries, will elaborate at the Hannover Messe on the report and the opportunities for Dutch companies.

During the Messe, ING is involved in various business events aimed at our Dutch and German customers. As part of its TEDxpartnership ING is also involved in the so called TEDx innovation pitches that are being organized to bring Dutch innovations to the attention of the visitors of the Messe.
