The Commerce Group

La Compagnie d’Assurance Mutuelle du Commerce began in Saint Hyacinthe at the beginning of the 20th century. They were the leading insurer in Quebec. Nationale-Nederlanden acquired the Group in 1989. In the summer of 2002, the company was merged with ING Insurance.
