Bank Śląski
Bank Śląski was established in 1989 when the commercial
activities of the National Bank of Poland were divided into nine
regional banks. Between 1994 and 2001, ING acquired first 25.9%,
then 54.08% and finally 87.77% of Bank Śląski. In September
2001, the bank was rebranded to ING Bank Śląski.
From a regional corporate bank, mainly active in the Southern part
of Poland, ING Bank Śląski has become a nation-wide universal bank,
serving both corporate and retail customers.
ING Bank Śląski is among the market leaders in corporate banking
in Poland. It has significantly expanded its services in retail
banking and has now more than 330 branches. ING Bank Śląski also
offers the life insurance and pension products of Nationale-Nederlanden
in Poland through their branch network.
