10th anniversary invitation
10 December 2015
ING invites you to a special event to mark the opening of the 10-year anniversary exhibition of the Netherlands Association of Corporate Art Collections on 18 December 2015.
The event consists of a symposium at the Auditorium Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and the opening of the 10-year anniversary exhibition at the VBCN OPEN Space, also in Amsterdam. ING is proud to be one of the participating members of the exhibition.
The symposium 10 Years Ahead! Art in/at Work features trendwatcher Farid Tabarki’s (Studio Zeitgeist) views on the future in housing, work mobility and digitisation. Prominent people from the arts will discuss the consequences these trends will have for art collections and their display. They include Ann Demeester (director Frans Hals Museum/ De Hallen, Haarlem), Kai van Hasselt (collector), Renzo Martens (artist), Hester Alberdingk Thijm (director AkzoNobel Art Foundation) and Özkan Gölpinar (Raad voor Cultuur). The symposium will run from 2 pm to 4 pm.
At the opening of the exhibition, VBCN 10 Years Young, two young promising curators Alix de Massiac and Vincent van Velsen have assembled an exhibition from all the corporate collections in the Netherlands in combination with new artworks by Sema Bekirovic in collaboration with Lotte Geeven, Thomas van Linge, Jonas Lund and Céline Manz. The exhibition opens at 5:30 pm.
If would like to attend the symposium and the exhibition opening on 18 December, you can register here. If you have any queries, please contact Sanne ten Brink.
The exhibition is open to the public and runs from 18 December 2015 to 17 January 2016.
