ING client Thomas Geers from Belgium started Albatross Liquors at only 20. “I chose the school of life.” [0:2:52]

His sister has a nail studio, his father is a baker. Thomas is the CEO of Albatross Liquors, a fast-growing Belgian liqueur brand.

Entrepreneurship runs in the family. So when Thomas, then 20, told his parents that he would stop his business management studies to start his own company, they understood. And although his business plan was a bit thin, ING believed in his dream.

Now, Thomas has an experienced partner, Tim, who helps him to think big.

‘Free as an Albatross’ is part of a series of short films celebrating the courageous steps clients take in their life and/or business.
