Yesterday Apple released a major novelty: Apple News. It is a built-in news app and part of the new iOS9 operating system that was launched today. This means that every Apple user who downloads iOS9 will automatically have Apple News on his device and have access to relevant news. ING is among the first companies of which its news will feature in Apple News and one of the first banks worldwide.

What’s the News app?

As Apple explains on their site “News collects all the stories you want to read, from top news sources, based on topics you’re most interested in — so you no longer need to move from app to app to stay informed.”

The app offers a huge selection of topics from sources including top news organizations and indie publications. In the app you can choose the ones you want to add to your favorites to get the news that interests you like business, finance, technology, fashion, sports and more.

How to get the ING content

Apple has currently restricted the app to iOS 9 users in the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia and the app is currently only available in English. If you installed iOS9 and you’re in one of these countries, you can get our content in a few steps:

Subscribe to our content:

Apple News ING Channel

To open our content:

  1. Click in the app on Favorites
  2. Click on the ING channel. Within the ING channel you’ll find several
sections from Main, eZonomics to publications and videos.

ING produces a lot of content from press releases and news articles to research and presentations of our board members. Since we’re continuously looking at staying ahead in this digital era, it’s a logical step to distribute our content to relevant audiences with access to Apple News.
