ING announces Management Changes in the Netherlands

Amsterdam, 2 May 2006

  • Ralph Hamers and Nick Jue to chair the Board of ING Retail Netherlands, succeeding Hans van der Noordaa who was appointed to Executive Board ING Group

Ralph Hamers and Nick Jue have been appointed to co-chair ING Retail Netherlands with effect from 1 July 2006. They take over the responsibility from Hans van der Noordaa, who was appointed to the Executive Board of ING Group. Both Ralph Hamers and Nick Jue will report to Eli Leenaars, member of the Executive Board responsible for Retail Banking, and they will join the management team for Retail and Private Banking.

Ralph Hamers (39) is currently head of ING Bank in the Netherlands and he will combine this responsibility with his new role in co-chairing ING Retail Netherlands.

Nick Jue (40) is currently general manager of Corporate Communications & Affairs of ING Group. As a result of his appointment the heads of Postbank and RVS will report to him and he will also become a member of the Management Board of ING Netherlands.

In addition, following the departure of Alexander Rinnooy Kan from the Executive Board of ING Group, Eli Leenaars will take over his role as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ING Netherlands. Jacques de Vaucleroy, who was appointed to the Executive Board of ING Group with responsibility for Insurance Europe, will also join the Supervisory Board of ING Netherlands.
