Fly Away with Flightpoints

Customers of ING Bank Turkey can collect flightpoints with the ING Pegasus Plus Card.

Just before the start of the holiday season, ING Bank Turkey launched the ING Pegasus Plus Card together with the Turkish low-cost airline Pegasus Airlines. ING customers who fly with Pegasus Airlines to their holiday destination or make purchases with this credit card, collect ‘FlightPoints’. Customers can either save their FlightPoints for a free flight or use them immediately to get a flight discount.

ING Pegasus Plus Card

The ING Pegasus Plus Card provides for the needs of Turkish consumers. Trends show that consumers increasingly use credit cards for both off- and online purchases, fueled by the fast-growing Turkish economy. If they use this new, branded credit card, they receive FlightPoints worth 1% of their purchase and 2% when booking a flight with Pegasus Airlines. One FlightPoint equals one Turkish Lira. No annual fee is charged for this credit card, which is quite uncommon for this type of product.

Benefits to card holders

Part of the strategic 3-year partnership between ING and Pegasus is that ING also provides all benefits of the current Bonus Card (ING Turkey’s other credit card) to the ING Pegasus Plus Card holders. On top of that, Pegasus Airlines offers all the benefits of the Pegasus Plus membership.

Respond to customers’ expectations

ING Bank Turkey says that it is important for banks to respond to customers’ expectations with advanced goods and services. The Bank is therefore now focusing on developing strategic partnerships, such as with Pegasus Airlines. The overall goal is to become Turkey’s leading savings bank.

Meeting high demand for credit cards

Since the launch of the card in mid-May, which received extensive coverage in the country’s media, already 26,131 existing and new customers have taken out an ING Pegasus Plus Card – a proofpoint of the high demand for credit cards among Turkish consumers.
