Isold Heemstra, currently ING Germany’s head of Mortgage Sales, will become CEO of ING Czech Republic on 1 September 2016, subject to regulatory approval.

In this role he will be responsible for the development of ING’s business in the Czech Republic, in particular by accelerating the growth of the existing Retail Banking business.

Heemstra replaces Jaroslav Vittek, who retains his position as head of ING Wholesale Banking Czech Republic. Vittek, previously country manager of ING Slovakia, was appointed country manager and head of Wholesale Banking at ING Czech Republic in 2014.

Isold Heemstra joined ING in 2002. He has since built up extensive international experience, having worked in the Netherlands, Canada, Malaysia and Germany. He moved to ING-DiBa in Germany as chief marketing & strategy manager in 2011, before taking on his current role of head of Mortgage Sales in 2012.

Aris Bogdaneris, member of the Management Board Banking and head of ING Challengers & Growth Markets, said: "Isold’s extensive network and international experience in management, sales and change projects make him well-suited to managing the continued development of ING Czech Republic."
