Heads of Retail appointed at ING Bank in Spain and France

Almudena Román (pictured) and Sophie Heller have been appointed heads of Retail in Spain and France respectively. Peter Staal, CEO of ING Bank Spain and Portugal, yesterday (9 October) announced the appointment of Almudena Román as Head of Retail ING Bank Spain.

The appointment will take immediate effect and follows the decision by CEO of ING Direct Spain, Carina Szpilka’s to leave ING. Earlier, in July, Benoit Legrand, CEO ING Bank France, announced the appointment of Sophie Heller as Head of Retail ING Bank France. Both Almudena and Sophie will look to contribute to the Bank’s growth in their countries, being part of the One Bank Management Teams in Spain and France and reporting directly to their country CEOs.
