ING Vysya Bank has a new mobile banking app, one that could increase the Bank’s reach into untapped markets including remote cities and rural areas.

Customers in remote and other areas will now able to use the app pay utility bills, transfer funds to other accounts, view mini-statements, request cheque books, stop payment of cheques, and locate the nearest ATM and branches. The app, using IBM’s Mobile First solution, helps customers to manage their accounts and financial performance more efficiently.

ING Vysya Bank Chief Information Officer Aniruddha Paul said as the mobile revolution continues to change the way we interact with customers.

“Transforming our services to meet these demands and deliver a consistent customer experience, regardless of the device or operating system, has become critical to our growth.”

The app is available on the Apple iOS mobile platform. Plans are underway to extend to other platforms including Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone.
