ING ranks 16th in Transparency Benchmark

Transparency Benchmark

The 2011 Transparency Benchmark has ranked ING 16th out of 500 of the largest Dutch companies, judged on the basis of their social, environmental and ethical performance. Published by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation, the benchmark scoring criteria covered the aspects of stakeholder dialogue, integration of environmental and social aspects in management and the level of sustainability reporting.

ING’s top 20 position is largely attributed to the transparent reporting on vision and strategy, its proactive approach towards stakeholders and general candidness on the subject.
The banking and insurance sector, which includes 28 companies within the benchmark, scores above average compared to the other sectors. ING comes in at fourth place in this sector-based ranking.
