New report on EMU break up by ING’s Chief Economist

On Friday 17 August, a new report by Mark Cliffe, Peter Vanden Houte and Martin van Vliet on the costs of an EMU break-up was published.

In the report, entitled “EMU: Fixing it is far cheaper than breaking it”, Mark Cliffe assesses the costs of an EMU break-up, and argues that politicians should step up efforts to avoid this at all cost.

Mark Cliffe is chief economist at ING
